1. The DUNLOP TECH tire sealant IMS (Instant Mobility System)
Performance range: 90% of all tire punctures can be reliably sealed: damages in the area of the tread and shoulder of up to 6 mm as well as those in the sidewall of up to 4 mm.
Temperature range: -30° to +70° Celsius (C)
Long-distance reliability: at least 1,500 km (as certified by TÜV)
Aging resistance: 5 years
Raw material: Just like the tire itself, the sealant is made of natural latex, the milky juice of the rubber tree. The similarity of the two materials ensures their compatibility.
Sealant quantities: The required sealant quantity depends on the tire size as well as which area of the tire (tread, shoulder, sidewall) needs to be sealed.
Application time and sealing distance: The DUNLOP TECH IMS ensures fast mobility in case of a breakdown. Filling the tire with sealant and air is expected to take no more than approximately ten minutes. The distance you may cover with a sealed tire depends on the size of the puncture.
Disposal: The DUNLOP TECH Tire sealant IMS is not subject to specific labelling and therefore does not form part of the waste requiring special supervision but may, instead, be disposed of via the local facilities (similar to water-based paints and adhesives).
